The plot trailer of the movie "Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens" has set a new all-time record for the number of views on the Web in the first 24 hours since its premiere - 112 million times. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Another 16 million viewers watched the video during the broadcast of the football match. Thus, the cumulative number of views reached 128 million. Recall that the first teaser, released in November 2014, reached 110 million views 12 days after the premiere. The second teaser, which was released in April 2015, has already received 88 million views in the first 24 hours, thus setting a new record. During the week, the video was watched by 145 million viewers.

Recall that the seventh episode of "Star Wars" two months before the premiere began to demonstrate unprecedented achievements. So, in almost all countries in which pre-sales of tickets were opened, the project became the absolute leader. In particular, more than 200 thousand tickets were sold in the UK in 24 hours; in North America, almost all sessions were sold for the first few days of rental. Star Wars 7 is expected to set a new record at its opening box office.
