The teaser for "Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens" set a new 2014 record for the most views on YouTube in its first week.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, since the premiere of the 88-second video, it has been viewed 58.2 million times. According to the technology portal Zefr, which collects and processes such statistics, the teaser for "Star Wars 7" has every chance to become the most popular movie clip in history.

The previous record holder was the trailer for "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" with 50.6 million views per week. At the time of this writing, he was already in third place, as from the second he was supplanted by the teaser for the movie "Jurassic World", which generated 53.9 million views in the first seven days after the premiere on YouTube.

It is also worth noting that the Star Wars 7 teaser was one of the ten most talked about videos on the Kino News portal.
