Teaser for "Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens" became the leader in terms of the number of views on YouTube. According to The Hollywood Reporter, in just 72 hours since its premiere, the video has been watched 40 million times.

For comparison, another record holder - the trailer for the movie "Fifty Shades of Gray" generated 36.4 million views in four days. The record for the number of views per week still belongs to the trailer for the movie "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" (50.6 million).

The popularity of the teaser for the seventh episode of "Star Wars" is evidenced by the number of parodies. So, earlier on YouTube, a video was presented in which the main characters were figures from the LEGO constructor. An amateur "George Lucas version" has also emerged, parodying the style of the creator of Star Wars.

It is worth noting that the Star Wars 7 teaser was one of the ten most talked about videos on the Cinema News portal.

Harrison Ford, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleason, Mark Hamill, Gwendoline Christie, Carrie Fisher, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong'o, Oscar Isaac, and other actors starred in the movie, which will launch a new trilogy and several spin-offs. The release date of the full movie trailer at the time of this writing was not named.

Star Wars 7 will premiere in December 2015.
