Relativity has abandoned the Raven remake
Relativity movie studio, going through hard times in its history, refused to produce a long-suffering remake of the movie "The Raven". According to The Hollywood Reporter, now Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow will try to produce the picture based on the graphic novel by James O'Barr, which jointly bought the rights to this project. At the time of this writing, it has not yet been specified whether the previously announced director Corinne Hardy and the leading actor Jason Momoa will remain among its privateers. Recall that attempts to shoot a new version of the cult movie have been made for many years, but each time they ended in failure. The leading actors at one time included Jack Houston, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hiddleston, James McAvoy and Luke Evans. Several directors have also changed. Studio Relativity, which was about to begin movieing the remake in the fall of 2016, claimed that its version will be much closer to the original than the 1994 movie.
