The only remaining model of the monster shark from the legendary horror movie "Jaws" has become an exhibit at the Academy Museum. This was announced in an official press release received by the editorial staff of the "Novosti Kino" portal.

The model, made of plastic, has been in the Universal Studios Hollywood amusement park since the movie premiered in 1975. In 1990, she became the property of the Adlen brothers' auto repair shop, which she had acquired from Universal Studios. In January 2016, the company ceased to exist and the owners donated the shark model to the Academy of Sciences.

Now the famous monster will take its rightful place among the exhibits related to the movie "Jaws". It will be the largest deposited object at the Academy Museum.

Recall that the famous painting by Steven Spielberg became the first world-class blockbuster, earning at the box office an astronomical amount of $ 470 million at the time. The movie has received numerous prestigious awards, including three Academy Awards.

At the end of 2014, it became known that the Universal studio is assessing the prospects for movieing a new version of "Jaws".
