The State Committee for Cinematography of Ukraine has added an action movie called "Crazy Nick" to the list of movies banned from showing in the country, in which Til Schweiger played the main role. Sergei Neretin, deputy head of the State Committee for Cinematography, explained in an interview with the Ukrainian radio station Vesti that this decision was made after the expert commission found a representative of the USA power structures in the picture.

According to the plot, the main character, a policeman from Hamburg, has his daughter kidnapped and taken to Moscow. He goes in search of his daughter and, with the help of the "valiant FSB major", rescues her. "We discussed this movie today, and the law clearly says that we must ban it, regardless of whose product it is. If there is a positive image of a law enforcement officer of the USA Federation, then we must ban it," the official said.

Note that in recent years, the Ukrainian supervisory authorities regularly add to the list of USA feature movies and TV series, which, according to the authorities, pose a threat to the national security of the country. Also in Ukraine, it is prohibited to show movies with the participation of USA artists included in the so-called "black lists". Joint production projects are often banned as well.
