Lifetime drama star Freddie Stroma starred in the pilot of ABC's Time Travel, curated by acclaimed screenwriter Kevin Williamson. Stroma will play science fiction writer Herbert Wells. The potential series, based on Carl Alexander's Time Machine Journey and the eponymous feature movie directed by Nicholas Meyer, tells the story of the epic time travel of the young HG Wells. In the 1979 movie, Wells is portrayed by Malcolm McDowell. Williamson will write and executive produce Time After Time.
