James Franco starred in miniseries 11/22/63 (Topic)

Oscar-nominated James Franco (127 Hours) has been confirmed for the lead role in the streaming miniseries Hulu, based on Stephen King's novel 11/22/63. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The plot of the sci-fi novel 11/22/63, published in 2011, revolves around school teacher Jake Epping, who travels back in time using a portal to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. On the way to the implementation of the mission, Jake meets many obstacles. His operations are threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, a sudden romance and a past that does not want to change.

Franco, whose career began in the TV series "General Hospital" and "Freaks and Geeks", will play the role of Epping and will executive produce the nine-hour miniseries.

Bridget Carpenter will write and executive produce the drama alongside King and Brian Burke. Jay Jay Abrams' company Bad Robot Productions will be movieing. Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution will distribute the upcoming series outside of the US.
