The share of USAn cinema at the box office will increase to 20 percent
The non-profit partnership "Kinoalyans", which includes large theatrical networks of USA, such as "Kinomax", "Cinema Star", "Luxor", "Karo", "Five Stars" and others have entered into an agreement with the Ministry of Culture of the USA Federation and the Fund cinema, according to which the share of domestic movies in the box office will reach 20 percent. The Agreement comes into force on January 1, 2016 and will last until the end of the calendar year. USA movie projects will be shown in cinemas from 9.00 to 00.00 every day. The distribution networks also undertake the obligation to show free video ads of social significance, which will be provided by the Ministry of Culture of the USA Federation and the Cinema Fund. The duration of such videos should not exceed one minute. Most likely, we are talking about trailers of movies of domestic production, the financial support of which was provided by the state. It is not yet known whether the largest cinema chains Cinema Park and Formula Kino will join the agreement. Note that in 2015 the number of viewers of USA movies has been steadily decreasing.
