A mysterious and frightening event took place in Stansdorf, Germany. According to Variety, unidentified vandals have stolen from the family crypt the head of the director Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau, who shot the cult horror movie Nosferatu, a symphony of horror.

It is noteworthy that the nearby graves of the Murnau brothers were not disturbed. The police are investigating.

Recall that the silent horror movie "Nosferatu, Symphony of Horror" was released in 1922. Initially, Murnau planned to movie Bram Stoker's Dracula, but his studio could not agree on the acquisition of the rights, so the director had to change the names of the main characters and the details of the storyline.

Nevertheless, after the release of the painting, the writer's widow was able to obtain an order through the court to destroy copies of the painting. But the movie has already spread all over the world, and thanks to this it has survived to this day. At the end of the 20th century, "Nosferatu" was restored in its original form and published on digital media.
