2015 Golden Eagle Award Winners Announced
The Golden Eagle 2015 award, established by the National Academy of Cinematic Arts and Sciences of USA, was presented in Moscow. "Sunstroke" directed by Nikita Mikhalkov was recognized as the best movie of the year. The prize for the best director went to Andrei Zvyagintsev (Leviathan). Alexander Zbruev ("Cinema about Alekseev") and Elena Lyadova ("Leviathan") won the main acting nominations. Roman Madyanov (Leviathan) and Severia Janushauskaite (Zvezda) were awarded the Golden Globe for minor roles. Andrey Konchalovsky and Elena Kiseleva won in the category "Best Screenplay" ("White Nights of Postman Alexei Tryapitsyn"). Among the television projects, the winners were the series "The Thaw" and "Demons". Victoria Isakova and Evgeny Tsyganov, who played in "The Thaw", were named the best actors of the series. The movie "Sunstroke" received the Academy Award for Best Costumes. The same painting also won the Best Production Designer award. The Golden Eagle was awarded to Stanislav Govorukhin for his outstanding contribution to the development of USA cinema.
