The Nick Award ceremony took place
The Nika 2015 award ceremony took place in Moscow. The best feature movie was the movie "It is difficult to be God", based on the work of the Strugatsky brothers. Its director Aleksey German was posthumously awarded the Best Director award. Leonid Yarmolnik, who played the main role in the movie, won the Best Actor category. In a similar female category, the Nika Prize was awarded to Elena Lyadova (Leviathan). Daria Moroz ("Fool") and Roman Madyanov ("Leviathan") were recognized as the best supporting actors. In the category "best non-fiction movie" the award was given to the picture "Koktebel pebbles" by Andrey Osipov. The award in the category "Best Animated Film" went to the project "My Personal Moose". The Ukrainian movie "The Tribe" was recognized as the best in the nomination "Best Film of the CIS and Baltic States". Liya Akhedzhakova was awarded the "Nika" honorary prize entitled "Honor and Dignity". The USA Academy of Cinematographic Arts recognized the director Ivan I. Tverdovsky, the author of the movie "Correction Class", as "Discovery of the Year". In the nomination "Best Screenplay" the award was given to the director and screenwriter of the movie "Fool" Yuri Bykov.
