George Lucas didn't like the new Star Wars

George Lucas lashed out at the creators of Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens, as well as Walt Disney. The creator of the galaxy far, far, said he didn’t like what he saw on the screen and described the new owners of the franchise as “white slave owners.” Fragments of the director's interview are quoted by Variety.

"For some reason they wanted to make a retro movie. I didn't like that. At one time I tried very hard to make my movies different from each other. And I succeeded. Different worlds, different spaceships, they were very different in this, "Lucas said.

As for the very unflattering response to Walt Disney, the director chose not to finish his thought about "white slave owners" and just laughed. “They weren't trying to get me to work, because if that happened they would have problems because they weren't going to do what I told them to. And I no longer had control over it. So I said: "Ok, I'll go my own way, and let them go their own way."

Note that at the time of this writing, Star Wars 7's worldwide box office has exceeded $ 1.2 billion. The movie set several absolute records at the box office.
