Star Trek star John Cho has joined the cast of the second season of Fox's "The Exorcist." This is reported by the publication Deadline.

In the second season of the drama, Father Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) and the defrocked priest Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels) leave Chicago and go in search of Evil. On the other side of the Atlantic, Father Bennett (Kurt Aegiavan), with the support of the Vatican, is trying to get rid of those who have turned against God. Thomas and Marcus eventually cross paths with Andrew Kim (Cho), a retired child psychologist who oversees a group of five troubled students on a secluded private island off the coast of Seattle. When one of the children becomes the object of interest of a powerful force, both priests rush westward, to face hell again.

Created by Jeremy Slater, the series is produced by Morgan Creek and 20th Century Fox Television. Season 2 will premiere on Fox on Friday, September 29, 2017.

Cho, who recently reprized the role of Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu in Star Trek 3: Infinity, will soon be seen in Cogonada's Columbus, which debuted at Sundance this January.
