British Academy of Film has announced its nominees
British Film Academy has unveiled a list of nominees for its "BAFTA Awards 2016". The leaders in terms of the number of references were the drama "Carol" and the political thriller "Spy Bridge" based on real events. In the main categories, the balance of power was as follows: Best Film: Short, Spy Bridge, Survivor, Carol, and Spotlight. Best Actress: Brie Larson ("The Room"), Saoirse Ronan ("Brooklyn"), Cate Blanchett ("Carol"), Alicia Vikander ("The Danish Girl") and Maggie Smith ("The Lady in the Van") Best Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio ("The Survivor"), "Eddie Redmayne (" The Danish Girl "), Michael Fassbender (" Steve Jobs "), Matt Damon (" The Martian ") and Brian Cranston (" Trumbo "). Best Animated Feature: Puzzle, Minions, and Sean the Sheep. Best Director: Adam McKay (The Shortcut), Steven Spielberg (The Spy Bridge), Todd Haynes (Carol), Ridley Scott (The Martian) and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (The Survivor).
