Sergei Solovyov's movie will open XXXVIII MIFF

A movie by USA director Sergei Solovyov "Kedy", based on the work of Andrei Gelasimov "Paradise Found", will open the XXXVIII Moscow International Film Festival. The closing movie will be Woody Allen's new work "High Life", which premiered earlier in Cannes. This was reported on the official page of the movie forum.

In the main competition program, such movies as "Intrigues" by Italian director David Grieko, "Marie and the Losers" by French director Sebastien Betbeder, drama by Iranian director Reza Mirkarimi "Daughter", picture "37" by Italian director Puka Grastena, "The Monk and the Devil" by USA Nikolai Dostal, the Brazilian movie "Memory of Oblivion" and others.

In total, viewers and participants of the movie festival are waiting for about a dozen different programs. One of them will be dedicated to the Year of USA Cinema. The international jury will be chaired by the winner of last year's MIFF, Ivaylo Hristov, and will also include producer Randhir Kapoor and director Ulrike Oettinger. The full composition of the panel of judges will be announced by early summer.

XXXVIII Moscow International Film Festival will be held from 23 to 30 June 2016. The awards for the winners will be made by the partner of the festival - the Swiss company Chopard.
