Annapurna Pictures has signed with Team Downey, owned by Robert Downey Jr. and his wife a contract to work together on a movie called "Man of the People". This is reported by Comingsoon.The plot of the movie, based on real events, will be built around Dr. John Brinkley, who achieved fame thanks to a clever combination of populism, counterfeit drugs and the latest technology for its time - radio. At the zenith of fame, he ran into Morris Fishbein, editor of a popular medical publication, who later spent ten years of his life trying to prove that his opponent was a common charlatan.It is expected that Robert Downey Jr. himself. will play the main role in the movie, his wife will take on the functions of the producer.
