Fox has a screenwriting agreement for "The Code," a political thriller curated by the team behind FX's "Justice" series. creator and executive producer Graham Yost, executive producer and director Michael Dinner, and executive producer Fred Golan. The production will be handled by Sony Pictures TV, the studio behind the FX drama. This is reported by Deadline.

"The Code" is based on the acclaimed Australian miniseries "The Code" of the same name, written by Yost and Golan. It tells the story of two dissimilar brothers – a journalist and a hacker who have unearthed secret information, for the non-disclosure of which those in the highest echelons of political power are ready to kill anyone.

The original Playmaker Media series debuted on the Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC) in 2014 and has already been renewed for a second season, which will premiere in 2016. The first season of the drama received an Australian Academy of Motion Picture and Television Awards in six nominations, including Best Television Drama Series. The series also won the Australian Directors Guild Award for Best Director in a Drama Series. Last year, the drama won an Australian Writers Guild Award for Best Television Miniseries and was nominated for the Society of Australian Film Producers Award.
