Streaming service Netflix has commissioned the production of Chuck Lorrie (The Big Bang Theory) 20-episode comedy "Disjointed", starring Katie Bates (American Horror Story). Lorrie and former lead writer on the Daily Show comedy show David Javerbaum will write and co-executive produce the Warner Bros TV comedy project. This is reported by Deadline.

In "Disjointed," the Academy Award-winning and Emmy-winning Bates will play a lawyer who has fought for the legalization of marijuana all her life and dreams of becoming the owner of a cannabis pharmacy in Los Angeles.

The comedy project was highly acclaimed in the writing community when it was first put up for sale.
