The Big Bang Theory has been extended for three seasons
CBS has announced the production of three more seasons of the sitcom The Big Bang Theory. As reported by ComingSoon, citing CBS, the series, which at the time of this writing is the highest rated and most popular comedy television show among the 18-49 age group, will run through the 2016-2017 season. In her statement, CBS Entertainment Chair Nina Tessler said, “Comedy is a big chunk of our schedule, and The Big Bang Theory is the most powerful comedic force on television. This multi-year agreement will strengthen our channel's position for the seasons to come, and will be another chapter in a remarkable partnership between CBS and Warner Bros. Television.
