At Any Cost, director of the psychological thriller David McKenzie, and the world's most prestigious award-winning movie stars Chris Pine and Ben Foster, team up to create a new project for the streaming service Netflix that will take them from small Texas towns to the highlands Scotland. This is reported by The Wrap.

McKenzie will be the scriptwriter and director of the Outlaw King project. The movie tells about the famous King of Scotland Robert I the Bruce, who is a national hero who led the Scots to victory in the War of Independence against England in the fourteenth century.

Pine will play King Robert, and Foster – his friend and associate, Lord James Douglas. For McKenzie, the project is personal, as the moviemaker is Scottish by origin.

Production is scheduled to begin in Scotland in August this year. Jillian Berry, Richard Brown and Steve Golin will act as executive producers.

At Any Cost, which premiered in Cannes last year, has won four Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and "best script". Pine in June 2017 can be seen in the comic strip "Wonder Woman", and Foster – in the Western "Foes".
