The novel "Lullaby", written by the author of "Fight Club" Chuck Palahniuk, will be movieed. According to The Wrap, the rights to the work were acquired by independent moviemakers Andy Mingo and Josh Leek.

In the story, reporter Karl Streitor conducts his own investigation into the sudden deaths of perfectly healthy babies. As a result, he comes to the conclusion that children die after they sing an old African lullaby published in a collection of fairy tales of the peoples of the world. In the process of his search, Streitor meets other heroes who know other dangerous spells. Together they decide to find the main witchcraft book from where the lullaby was written off.

The novel, published in 2002, is largely based on the personal experiences of Palahniuk himself, who participated in the trial of his father's murderer. According to the writer himself, while working on "Lullaby" he tried to give himself an answer to the question: does the killer deserve the death penalty.

Note that Andy Mingo had previously worked with Chuck Palahniuk on a short movie based on the writer's story. The shooting schedule of "Lullaby" at the time of this writing was not specified. Most likely, the picture will be presented to viewers no earlier than 2016.
