Fox ordered a pilot for the X-Men TV series

Fox has officially commissioned the production of a pilot for the X-Men comic series. The unnamed project will be produced by 20th Century Fox and Marvel Television, according to Comicbook. A passionate fan of the popular franchise, Matt Nix will write and executive produce the pilot.

In the pilot, two regular parents and their mutant child are at the center of the action. Forced to flee the government, the family joins an underground mutant organization.

In addition to Nyx, Lauren Shuler Donner, Brian Singer, Simon Kienberg, Jeff Loeb and James Chori will share the executive production responsibilities.

Recall that the potential Nyx series will be the second X-Men project. which is developed by Fox. The first is Noah Hawley's Legion, which will debut on sister channel FX on February 8, 2017.

The X-Men: Apocalypse franchise, released worldwide in May 2016, received fairly low critical ratings and was nominated by users of the Kino News portal for the Rusty Bagel 2017 anti-award in the Main Disappointment of the Year nomination. The next movie about mutants "Logan", dedicated to Wolverine, will be available to viewers in early March 2017.
