Premiere of the trailer for the series Founding by Isaac Asimov
The Cinema News edition presents the first trailer for the Foundation series, which is based on the famous series of works by the American science fiction writer Isaac Asimov. The main roles were performed by Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Jeffrey Cantor and other artists. The pilot episode of the show, which will bring viewers to the streaming service Apple TV +, was directed by Rupert Sanders.
Recall that the "Foundation" cycle was presented in the 40s of the last century. It is about an attempt to save human civilization and knowledge, which is being undertaken by a group of psychohistorical scientists led by the brilliant mathematician Hari Seldon, who predicted the destruction of the Galactic Empire and thousand-year chaos. Seldon gathers the best minds of the Empire and transports them to a dark planet at the edge of the Galaxy, which should serve as a beacon of hope for future generations. He calls his sanctuary Foundation. Attempts to movie “Foundation” have been made several times before. So, in 2008, Columbia Pictures studio intended to entrust the movieing of the movie to director Roland Emmerich. In 2014, the rights were acquired by HBO and Warner Bros. TV.
