Apple Films Isaac Asimov Foundation
Apple has acquired the rights to movie the acclaimed series of works by American science fiction writer Isaac Asimov "Foundation". According to GeekTyrant, a television series will be shot based on its motives and in collaboration with Skydance Television. David S. Goyer will lead the project. Let us recall that "The Foundation" was presented by Azimov in the form of a cycle of short stories in the early 40s of the last century. They talk about an attempt to save human civilization and knowledge, which is being undertaken by a group of psychohistorical scientists led by Gary Seldon, who predicted the destruction of the Galactic Empire and millennial chaos. Previously, there were several attempts to transfer the events of "Foundation" to screens. So, in 2008, Columbia Pictures announced its intention to implement such a project and commission the movieing of the movie to director Roland Emmerich. In 2014, the rights were bought by HBO and Warner Bros. TV, which promised to jointly create a television series .. It was expected to be prepared by Jonathan Nolan ("Interstellar").
