Andy Serkis will play Alfred in Batman
The cast of the DC Comics-inspired Batman movie is undergoing major changes. According to The Warp, the role of the butler Alfred will be played by the popular Hollywood actor Andy Serkis. It also became known that the role of Penguin could be played by Colin Farrell, negotiations with which representatives of the studio Warner Bros. are already underway. Note that both actors have experience in movie projects based on comics: Serkis took part in the development of the modern Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Farrell starred in the unsuccessful movie adaptation of "Daredevils" released in 2003. Recall also that one of the potential performers of the role of Penguin was previously considered Academy Award winner John Hill, but negotiations with the latter were unsuccessful, and he dropped out of the project. The Batman movie is slated for release in June 2021. The main role will be played by Robert Pattinson, and Matt Reeves will be in the director's chair.
