The Independent Spirit Awards will take place in 2021 much later than previously planned. According to the organizers, instead of February 27, it will take place on April 24, that is, the day before the ceremony of the American Film Academy.
"Films that were released between January 1, 2020 and February 28, 2021 will be eligible for the awards in recognition of the exceptional circumstances that the world of cinema and humanity as a whole is currently facing," the official statement on this occasion.
