Narc Makers will movie the new Phantom of the Opera
The studio that produced Narki for the streaming service on Netflix has begun work on the six-part mini-series The Phantom of the Opera. According to SlashFilm, the show will be based on the original Gothic novel by Gaston Leroux, and not on the hugely popular musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Recall that the plot is centered on a disfigured talented composer, engineer and illusionist who lives in the depths Paris Opera House and falls in love with a talented young ingenue. British screenwriter Anthony Horowitz, who has worked on the famous TV series Poirot, will adapt the original literary source. The Phantom of the Opera was movieed before. In 2004, director Joel Schumacher released a movie based on Webber's musical. It featured actors Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum, Patrick Wilson, Minnie Driver and others who were still little known to the general public. The movie grossed over $ 150 million and was nominated for three Academy Awards at once.
