Peter Jackson will continue his experiments with documentaries. According to Variety, the New Zealand director will make a movie about The Beatles. The project will be consulted by Sir Paul McCartney.

The project, titled "Let it Be", is said to be based on 55 hours of movieing in recording studios, made in 1969 and 1970.

"55 hours of previously unseen footage and 140 hours of audio provided to us ensure that this movie is the unique experience" The Beatles fans have long dreamed of. It's like a time machine takes us back to 1969 and here we are sitting in the studio and watching these four friends create their great music together, "Jackson said in a statement on the matter.

The movie does not have a release schedule yet, but most likely fans of the band's work should expect its release in 2020, when the 50th anniversary of the album "Let it Be" will be celebrated.

Recall that in 2018 Peter Jackson presented to the audience a documentary movie "They will not grow old", dedicated to the participants of the First World War. To create it, unique newsreels were used, restored using the most modern technologies.
