Major August premieres may be canceled

Major Hollywood movie studios may opt out of their August release schedules for their movies, including several with impressive production budgets. As the publication Deadline notes, citing its sources, their leadership is concerned about the promises of the American authorities to tighten restrictions again due to the increase in the number of cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus.

It is alleged that after July 4, meetings will be held at which assessment of the prospects and a decision was made, but the likelihood of another postponement of premieres is very high. It also became known that already some September releases may be postponed. So, most likely, the horror movie "The Conjuring 3: By the Will of the Devil" will not be released on the previously indicated date.

Recall that among the large-budget projects, the release dates of which have already changed several times, the fantastic movie "Argument", announced at the time of publication of this article on August 12, 2020, based on the Chinese legend, the adventure movie "Mulan", which is still scheduled to be presented to viewers on August 21, 2020. The fate of the movie adaptation of the New Mutants comics also remains unclear.
