The hacker group, which claimed responsibility for breaking into the servers of the HBO channel, threatened to release a large array of critical data for the company. According to the Variety edition, citing an email from the attackers, they are ready to "leak" information weekly, and the first portion of it may appear on the Web as soon as Sunday.

The hackers claim that they have 1.5 terabytes at their disposal data without specifying what it is about. Recall that the hacking of the HBO internal network became known on Monday, July 31, 2017, when episodes of the company's television shows that had not yet been shown were leaked to the Network. HBO management acknowledged the fact of the hack, but declined to clarify what data could be found in the attackers.

On Wednesday, August 2, HBO President Richard Plepler assured his subordinates that it was not about email. "We do not yet have information that our mail system was attacked, but we are conducting a thorough investigation," he said.

Note that HBO presents some of the highest-rated TV series, including Game of Thrones. ... Demonstration of the next season of this show began at the moment of the hack.
