DC Films is launching its own streaming video service to compete with a similar service previously announced by Walt Disney. The DC Universe platform is planned to be used to showcase projects based on popular comics.

In the near future, subscribers are expected to be able to watch series such as "Titans", "Swamp Thing", "Doom Patrol", and animated series dedicated to Harley Queen. In the future, the library of the service is expected to be significantly expanded.

The exact launch date of the DC Universe platform and the cost of the subscription are still unknown. On the official DC Films Twitter channel, DC MCU fans are urged to wait for some announcement on June 28, 2018.

Recall that several television series based on comics have previously been released, including Gotham, Arrow, Supergirl, Lucifer and some others. They have been showcased by other companies, such as the streaming service Netflix.

Whether DC Universe subscribers will be able to watch those shows as well is not specified at the time of this writing.
