The second major cinema chain divested of Universal movies
The second largest cinema chain in North America, Regal Entertainment, has joined the boycott of Universal Studios. Comic Book reports this with reference to the parent company Cineworld Group. "Cineworld's policy on rolling window is clear, well known in the industry and is part of our business deal with our movie suppliers. We are investing significant funds to our cinemas around the world, and this allows movie studios to provide customers around the world with the opportunity to watch movies in the best possible quality. Universal unilaterally decided to disrupt the established order and did so in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, when our business is closed, more 35,000 employees are at home, and when we do not yet have a clear date for the opening of cinemas.
