Mikhail Efremov's lawyer clarified the earlier statement that his client did not admit his guilt in a fatal accident. "From the first day Efremov was ready to be punished for these acts. Efremov was very drunk. He knows nothing, he does not remember anything. When I started working, there are certain moments after which I made such a decision," Elman Pashayev said in the program "60 minutes" of the TV channel "USA 24".
According to the defender, Efremov admits "that his car was present in the accident." "A man died due to the fault of this car. He does not absolve himself of responsibility. Because he does not remember anything," he added. The dramatic accident occurred on June 8 on the Garden Ring in Moscow. The car, presumably driven by Mikhail Efremov, collided in the oncoming lane with another vehicle, the driver of which was injured incompatible with life.
The artist was taken under house arrest and later recorded a video message in which he asked forgiveness from the family of the deceased.
