Mikhail Efremov refused to plead guilty
Actor Mikhail Efremov declared his innocence in a fatal accident. This statement was made by his lawyer Elman Pashayev. He refused to provide details, as “it is premature,” but according to the defense lawyer, “he did not commit this crime.” Recall that the accident involving the artist took place on the evening of June 8, 2020 in the Smolenskaya Square area. Earlier it was believed that, driving along the inner side of the Garden Ring, the driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee lost control, drove into the oncoming lane and made a collision with an oncoming Lada car. The driver of the latter was seriously injured and was urgently hospitalized. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, it was not possible to save him. According to the State Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moscow, the criminal case was initiated against the driver of a foreign car under Part 2 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the USA Federation, and later re-qualified to point "a" of part 4 of this article.
