SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk again had the opportunity to share his idea that the world around us is a computer simulator that created a higher mind. In a conversation with a researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lex Friedman, the question was asked about what the billionaire would ask the most powerful artificial intelligence. Musk thought for a long time and finally replied that if he had the opportunity, his question was: "What is outside of the simulation?" Elon Musk expressed the opinion that the Universe is an incredible scale computer simulation in which all of humanity lives, back in 2016. The entrepreneur substantiates his theory by the super-fast development of video games. If a few decades ago gamblers could be content with the simplest simulators, then after a while the games have improved in many ways, their drawing has become quite realistic to reflect virtual worlds. Therefore, Musk suggested that someone more advanced from the outside could well have designed the computer universe in which humanity lives. Musk proposes to mentally travel several thousand years ahead, considering such a period of time negligible for evolutionary transformations. The games industry is already quite close to visual realism, when the virtual picture becomes more and more like reality. 10,000 years from now, the level of technology will be much higher than today, which will affect video games as well. As a result, computer simulation games of the future will run on a variety of consoles and computers. Following this logic, Elon Musk boldly suggested that one of these running virtual simulations is life on planet Earth.  During a conversation with the Massachusetts Institute, the entrepreneur clarified that if no physical differences between reality and the virtual world can be determined in any way, then it will be simply impossible to check the human environment for reality. At the same time, the head of Tesla and SpaceX explains that it is still possible to determine whether everything is around a computer simulator or not. To do this, you can make the assumption that the supercomputer that controls everything will see that its creations have figured out how to test the universe for simulation. It is likely that the error correction process will start, and the virtual world will temporarily stop or restart again. In the past, Musk was the founder of another project called Neuralink. His task was to develop a computer program that would connect the human brain to a machine. In addition, the entrepreneur supports the creation of certain rules for artificial intelligence. In his opinion, insufficient control over this area can lead to irreversible consequences. Some scientists working in the field of AI are confident that a super-advanced artificial intelligence system will appear in the next decade.
