ZTE announced a flagship smartphone with the latest hardware (Topic)

Snapdragon-powered smartphonesZTE has made a preliminary online presentation of the new flagship Axon 10s Pro, whose official premiere is expected within a month. Beating its rivals Xiaomi and Samsung, the ZTE smartphone is the first announced device to feature the latest LPDDR5 RAM and state-of-the-art Snapdragon 865 mobile processor.

New Standard Memory

According to the information provided by the manufacturer, the new ZTE smartphone received improved LPDDR5 RAM with a capacity of 12 GB. This type of memory belongs to the new standards that are used in mobile gadgets: smartphones, laptops and tablet computers. Unlike DDR modules, LPDDR (Low-power DDR) memory is energy-efficient.

Micron has already launched the mass production and supply of LPDDR5 memory designed for high-performance gadgets in 6, 8 and 12 GB variants and up to 6.4 Gbps bandwidth. According to Micron, the new modules are 50% faster than the previous LPDDR4x class. In terms of power consumption, the chips of the new standard outpaced the previous generation by 20%.

Other Features

The new ZTE gadget has expanded to smartphones with Snapdragon, and Axon 10s Pro received the latest model of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip, which was presented in December last year. The closest competitors of the smartphone based on the latest processor will be the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Samsung Galaxy S20.

In addition to the presence of a new standard memory and the "latest" Snapdragon chip, the rest of the ZTE Axon smartphone has standard parameters. Its 6.47-inch AMOLED-based thin-bezel display occupies 92% of the front surface. The 60Hz screen supports Full HD + resolution. The main camera includes three sensors. Among them, the main one is a 48-megapixel module with conventional optics, which complements an 8-megapixel sensor with telephoto and a wide-angle sensor of 20 MP. The selfie camera is equipped with a 20 megapixel sensor.

The ZTE smartphone is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology via USB-C. The fingerprint scanner is hidden in the screen. The internal storage is represented by 256 GB high-speed UFS 3.0 memory. MicroSD card support is not provided.

In addition to the older version with 12 GB and 256 GB of RAM and internal memory, there is also a simpler modification with volumes of 6 and 128 GB, respectively. The Axon 10s Pro operating system is Android 10, supplemented with MiFavor 10 firmware.

A preliminary online acquaintance with the flagship has already taken place, an offline presentation is planned at the end of this month. The company has not yet disclosed the exact date, as well as the recommended price.
