HONOR recently introduced an advanced smartphone. He got a processor with 5G support, fast charging, stereo speakers, a screen with a high refresh rate. Like most of the brand's devices, the new device is devoid of Google services, but everyone is already used to it. Let's tell you more about the device.

Glass and metal body

The HONOR 30 Pro + has the appearance of a typical flagship device. Its display has curved edges on the side, a metal frame fits nicely in the palm of your hand, and the back panel is adorned with oleophobic glass.

There is no audio jack, but there are two stereo speakers providing high-quality listening to any content. The manufacturer has equipped the product with an IR port in order to be able to control household appliances. The front camera of the device is double. In addition to the conventional sensor, a wide-angle sensor is installed.

The device received a 6.57-inch OLED matrix (2340x1080 pixels, 392 ppi), which is not quite typical for this developer. It is difficult to overestimate its advantages: deep black color, constant display of information on the locked screen, excellent contrast.

Another feature of the HONOR 30 Pro + is its increased refresh rate up to 90 Hz. It can be set in the settings. As a result, when displaying content, the picture is smoother than in devices with 60 Hz screens.

Photo and video capabilities

A 50-megapixel Sony IMX700 with an aperture of f / 1.9 is used as the main sensor of the main camera of the smartphone. Like most top-end camera phones, it has laser autofocus, dual flash and AI-assisted scene recognition. The second lens is an ultra wide-angle lens that can capture images at f / 2.2 aperture.

The resolution of the third lens is 8 megapixels. It is used for 5x optical zoom. It is also equipped with optical stabilization, which allows you to get a high-quality (non-shaking) picture when zooming in.

Medium battery, but good energy efficiency

HONOR 30 Pro + has a 4000 mAh battery. That's not a lot for a large-screen device. However, an economical processor is installed here, the combination of which with an OLED matrix allows you to get moderate power consumption. On average, one hour of gameplay consumes 12-14% of the battery charge.

The device supports 40-watt wired charging and 27-watt wireless charging. The included power supply allows you to charge the battery by 50% in just 20 minutes.

Interestingly, the device has the ability to reversible charging with a power of 7.5 watts. This feature can be enabled in the settings. Its capabilities will appeal to those who love long journeys, when to replenish the energy reserves of TWS headphones or smartwatches, just hold them to the HONOR 30 Pro + and wait a little.

Performance

The "heart" of the smartphone is the HiSilicon Kirin 990 processor, equipped with a module for working in fifth generation networks (for this, a separate button is provided in the interface). This chipset received increased clock speeds.

Also worth noting is support for the Wi-Fi 6 standard, but while this function cannot be used, it is a reserve for the future.

HONOR 30 Pro + quickly and accurately processes any request, pulls all programs and applications. During the tests, it was loaded with demanding toys, but there were no brakes or lags.

The first users note that the smartphone is capable of simultaneously working with several applications and messengers. You can even open mail additionally. This will not affect the quality of his work in any way.

Firmware Features

The device runs on Android 10 OS with the Magic UI proprietary shell installed on top. The add-on has many options to make it easier to work with the device.

Among them: the HUAWEI Shar service, which allows you to quickly exchange data with other smartphones and laptops HUAWEI and HONOR; activation of the "dark" theme directly from the curtain; e-book mode. There is also a voice assistant "Alice".

The program allows you to adjust the power saving parameters, enable the performance mode during the gameplay.

Disadvantages

There are no perfect smartphones. The HONOR 30 Pro + also has its drawbacks. One of them is associated with the presence of high sensitivity at the curved edges of the device. This can lead to false positives. In addition, the edges of the screen are prone to glare.

There is one more drawback in the design: a protruding block of faces. This prevents the unit from being used while it is lying on a table or other flat surface. Better to get a case right away and put your smartphone in it.

The last drawback is the lack of Google services. It has its own AppGallery app store, but for some it may not be enough.

The HONOR 30 Pro + smartphone received a cool screen, interface, technical equipment. There is a feeling that in this way the manufacturer was trying to compensate for the lack of Google services. He did it well. The device has many advantages, with a minimum of disadvantages.
