Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 got remakes

Jeff Keely's seasonal Summer Game Fest is currently underway. Within its framework, the announcement of two parts of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater took place, although even before him Tony Hawk himself told about it.

The studio Vicarious Visions, known for their work on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, took up the restoration of the classics. The remake promises new movements, but old fans of the game will not have to get used to the updated controls, since it was based on the original program code that was responsible for how the skateboard behaves in the game. The remake will bring two versions of control: the classic one, and the new one that takes into account the analog sticks. It will also include all the old locations and almost all the original soundtracks.

In addition to the improved appearance, created using photogrammetry, the remakes will include new challenges, local and multiplayer multiplayer, the ability to create and share your own parks. Released on September 4 this year on PC [exclusive to EGS], XOne and PS4. Epic Games has announced Unreal Engine 5Apart from the already mentioned Summer Games Fest was presented

Unreal Engine 5 is Epic Games' next generation engine.

As a presentation, Epic Games revealed the Lumen in the Land of Nanite tech demo, launched on PlayStation 5.

Techno-demos by itself will not be a full-fledged game, but you can play it, since this is not one big cut-scene created on the engine, but a full-fledged gameplay excerpt.

In the demo, we were shown two key features of Unreal Engine 5 - Nanite and Lumen. The first is in-game micro-polygon geometry technology, designed to make developers worry about the limited number of polygons a thing of the past. With Nanite, you can import movie-grade high quality source material into your game. Geometry based on this technology is scaled and streamed in real time.

In turn, Lumen is a technology of absolutely dynamic global illumination that adjusts to what is happening on the screen. Lighting with Lumen can be rendered to distances from millimeters to kilometers. Plus, the engine makes it possible to move the light source into the UE5 toolkit and see how the scene will look in the game.

An early version of the engine will appear early next year, and it will be fully released only at the end of 2021.

Hidden Blade and Quick Kills: New Details on AC: Valhalla

The news wave about Assassin's Creed Valhalla is just coming to our shore. Kotaku Editor-in-Chief Steven Totilo shared with us new details about the game, namely about its stealth component.

Image

In the last two games, the value of the hidden blade, the symbol of the AC series, has been reduced. In Origins, he was, but they could not kill strong enemies. In Odyssey, he was not at all, and by itself he appeared only in Darius - a character from the DLC.

As the creative director of the project Ashraf Ishmael told Kotaku, in Valhalla, the hidden blade will once again be deadly sharp, and will allow you to kill enemies with a single blow.

We will get the weapon early in the game, but since the hero is an ordinary Viking, and not a skilled assassin, he [or she] will have to learn on the go. According to Ishmael, the blade will allow you to eliminate enemies at the right time. Perhaps this means that you need to use it a little differently than we are used to.

Ishmael also says that the game will have a social stealth mechanic. The developers have revised the approach to how the main character will blend in with the crowd so that the mechanics fit into the surroundings of the game.

As a reminder, AC Valhalla is coming to PC [EGS], Xone, PS4, XSX, PS5 and Stadia this winter. Also read our material, where we have collected all the information about AC Valhalla.

Capcom will release multiple releases this year

Capcom have released their financial statements. According to the classics, you can get a lot of interesting information out of it. In this case, it concerns future projects of the publishing house - Capcom promises to arrange several major releases this year.

Capcom is expected to release three projects in the new fiscal year, which runs from April 2020 to March 2021. The first is Resident Evil 3, which is out now, so there are definitely two more unannounced games coming up.

Image

It turns out not too many games, but the publisher is counting on record sales [previously Capcom reached a maximum of 28 million copies sold in a year]. It turns out that even though there will be few releases, they should all be very large. We will not speculate about RE8, since many leaks about the project claim that the game will only be announced this year, and the release will take place at least next year.

The financial report also mentions that the company is going to move all of its major franchises outside of games, as was the case with Monster Hunter, which is preparing a Hollywood film adaptation, and also has orchestral concerts, arcade machines and themed restaurants.

The Bookwalker

Studio Do My Best, perhaps familiar to you from The Final Station, is currently creating the RPG adventure The Bookwalker.

The game will tell about a hero who travels through the pages of books to find various famous artifacts like the philosopher's stone, and sells in the real world. The game is divided into two parts, presented from the first and third person.

In GG's apartment, we will walk from the first person and create various objects, as well as pump. The book world will have an isometric view, where we communicate with characters and explore the world. So far we have a teaser, but the developers promise that the game will change a lot before release.

That was all the big news at the end of the week. Keep calm and keep playing and we'll see you next week ... in the next digests ...
