John Goodman takes his place on the Walk of Fame

Image Los Angeles hosted the unveiling ceremony for a new star on the Walk of Fame. It went to the 64-year-old Emmy and Golden Globe Awards John Goodman .

The actor invited his friend and colleague from the 1998 film "The Big Lebowski" Jeff Bridges to the event. Instead of the usual solemn speech, which is traditionally given at this ceremony, Bridges donned the famous knitted cardigan of Dude (the main character of the Coen brothers' tape) and said congratulations in the form of his character. He called Goodman "a man of his time" and a "legend", and ended the monologue with the quote Dude "Sleep well, dear prince", which, in in turn, borrowed by the Coens from Hamlet by William Shakespeare.

The event was also attended by Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson, who together with Goodman took part in the filming of the blockbuster Kong: Skull Island.
