The Coen Brothers Won't Bring Dude Back
Those hoping to see Jeff Bridges return to the screens as The Dude from The Big Lebowski should temper their fervor. As part of the promotional campaign for the film "Long Live Caesar!" Ethan and Joel Coens answered the questions of Variety journalists about the fate of the continuation of the cult film from 1998.“Tara Reed is very fond of making statements to the press, like Clooney with Long Live Caesar . But we will definitely not follow the lead of Tara ,, - said Ethan Cohen . The filmmaker refers to the fact that George Clooney constantly told reporters about his new project "Long live Caesar!" , urging Coens to write script. Also Ethan gave a negative answer to the reporters' question about whether a spin-off of The Big Lebowski is possible, the main character of which will be Jesus played by John Turturro.  In fact, the Coens brothers would like to continue with just one story from their extensive filmography.“Someday we'll shoot a sequel to Barton Fink,”, noted Ethan , referring to the comedy awarded Palme d'Or on Cannes Film Festival 1991.
