Over the past years, Hollywood film companies have shot many remakes of famous horror movies. It looks like the turn has now come to the comedy horror movie American Werewolf in London by John Landis.The iconic 1981 film became famous for its revolutionary special effects and became the first in the history of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to win an Oscar in the Best Makeup category. In 1997, Anthony Waller directed its sequel, but the film "American Werewolf in Paris" failed to gain success either with critics or with viewers. Seven years ago, Dimension Films was about to shoot a remake of the original film, but eventually the project was shelved. This time, the son of John Landis , Max , who has received a lot of flattering reviews for his work on the script for the "Chronicle" tape, intends to make an attempt to reboot the film series. The young Hollywood film maker shared the news of plans to revitalize the franchise on his Twitter. “I am constantly asked which remakes of my father’s paintings I would like to create, - wrote Max Landis . -There is only one tape of him that I could try to reshoot - “ American Werewolf in London ”.
