Deadline has announced some good news for biographical drama fans and adrenaline junkies. Director Michael Mann ("Skirmish") intends to make another attempt to get off the ground one of the most interesting Hollywood long-term construction - a film about the life of the legendary Enzo Ferrari .The feed about the founder of the automobile company Ferrari has been in production since 2004. The production of the film was to be directed by Sidney Pollack, who was seen in the image of the famous Italian designer and entrepreneur Al Pacino. However, in 2008 the director died of cancer, after which they chose to put the biopic on the shelf. The project was revived in April 2015 thanks to the financial support of the Italian company Cecchi Gori Media . The director's chair for the film was entrusted to Michael Mann , who assisted Pollack with her script. Four months later it became known that the role of Enzo Ferrari was given to Christian Bale. The filming of the biographical drama was supposed to start in the summer of 2016, but soon the project had to be canceled again, as the actor had health problems due to the need for serious weight gain.  Today it became known that Mann has decided to offer the lead role in the film Hugh Jackman . The Australian recently officially said goodbye to the image of Wolverine in the X-Men cinematic universe, and therefore, for the first time in 17 years, he can afford to forget about grueling workouts and rigid diets. Reportedly, Enzo Ferrari may be the wife of Noomi Rapace .  The details of the plot of the film are still kept secret. It is only known that the main part of its action will unfold in 1957. It is possible that the tragic incident during the rally " Thousand Miles " will play a key role in the scenario of the tape. The popular Italian racing car competition was closed in 1957 after a terrible accident took place in the village of Guidizzolo, which claimed the lives of the driver and co-driver of the Ferrari 335 S , as well as several spectators. As a result of the investigation, it became known that the disaster occurred due to the fact that the racers of the Ferrari team did not change tires in time. In the end, all the blame for what happened was assigned to Enzo Ferrari and representatives of the tire supplier.
