Stallone could become an intergalactic superhero

Image About three years ago, 20th Century Fox surpassed several competitors for the rights to a film adaptation of a comic book called Starlight . Its creator Mark Millar is also the author of such already filmed graphic novels such as Wanted, Kick-Ass and Kingsman: The Secret Service.

In the center of the plot is Duke McQueen , a missing US Air Force pilot who became a space hero and saved the universe. After returning to Earth, Duke decided to settle down and started a family. Now, forty years later, when the children have grown up long ago and his wife has passed away, McQuinn lives a quiet, calm life, alone with himself and his memories. But one day he receives unexpected news from distant space, which will make him go on his last and greatest journey.

According to sources on the Splash Report information portal, Fox is considering the candidacy of Sylvester Stallone for the role of an aging intergalactic superhero. Stallone has not yet signed a contract, but it is quite possible that the project will become the next comic book adaptation on the actor's list after the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy, which will be released on USA screens next week.

The adaptation of the story for the big screen is handled by Gary Witt (Rogue One. Star Wars: The Tales, The Book of Eli). The fantastic film will be produced by Simon Kinberg, who has worked on the latest films of the Marvel universe, "X-Men: First Class", "Days of Future Past" and "Deadpool", but the director's chair of the project is still free.
