Netflix Will Build Mark Millar Universe
In the spring of 2015, the online service Netflix made the perfect gift to the multi-million dollar army of comic book fans with the release of the first season of Daredevil. Since then, the streaming giant has introduced three more members of the Defenders superhero collective to the public. In a few days, Daredevil , Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will be teaming up for the first time, but in the meantime, Netflix has decided to throw another great surprise to the global geek community.The official website Netflix has announced that the online service has acquired Mark Millar - Millarworld . The name of the four-time nominee for the prestigious Eisner Prize is well known not only to fans of graphic novels, but also to film fans. Over the past decade, Millar comics such as Wanted, Kick-Ass and Kingsman: The Secret Service have been filmed in Hollywood. In addition, the Scotsman's works became one of the main sources of inspiration for the creators of the blockbusters Captain America: Civil War and Logan.  As reported, Netflix intends to start producing films, TV series and children's programs based on the Scotsman's comics. The streaming service has already released a short promotional video for the upcoming film and television universe, which features covers of many of the graphic novels Millar - American Jesus , Jupiter's Legacy , Huck , Chrononauts , Empress , Reborn , MPH , Jupiter's Circle , Superior , Wanted , Supercrooks , Starlight and Nemesis . “I am in love with Netflix movies and TV shows, Millar admitted. "I could hardly have found a better home for Millarworld ." Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos, in turn, compared Mark to Stan Lee himself. Millar is truly one of the most successful comic book writers of his generation. Suffice it to say that the talented Scotsman is the author of the best-selling graphic novel about Superman in the history of DC Comics and the series The Ultimates published by Marvel b>, which at one time was recognized by the authoritative magazine Time as the best comics of the decade.
