Denis Villeneuve to direct Dune women's spin-off
The full-length movie adaptation of Frank Herbert's "Dune" will have a multi-part spin-off, the plot of which will focus primarily on female characters. Dune: The Sisterhood will be movieed for WarnerMedia's as-yet-untitled streaming service, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Dune creator Denis Villeneuve has been hired to direct the pilot, scripted by John Speits, who previously worked on Prometheus. As stated in the official description of the project, “the action takes place in the same universe and will present events from the perspective of a mysterious female order called the Bene Gesserit.
