Denis Villeneuve will stay on Arrakis
Movie fans have not yet seen the promotional material for the new film adaptation of Dune, which is more than a year away from the premiere, but the Legendary studio is determined and has already begun to implement a large-scale plan to create a whole universe. The next in line after the full-length film is the television spin-off called Dune: The Sisterhood.The series is due out on the upcoming online service WarnerMedia. The pilot episode will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, who is, in fact, the director of the film adaptation of Dune. Together with him, screenwriter John Spates will join the work on the TV show. The action of the series will unfold in the universe of "Dune", and at the epicenter of events will be a secret female order known as the Bene Gesserit. Possessing incredible abilities and skills that allow them to completely control their own body and mind, members of the order skillfully maneuver between feudal strife and the intrigues of the empire. The Bene Gesserit have their own plans, and ultimately they will lead them to the mysterious planet Arrakis ...  The idea of creating a universe that includes both movies and TV shows is not new to Hollywood. However, Sony's dreams collapsed after the failure of "The Dark Tower", and "Confrontation" will eventually settle only on TV. It is worth hoping that Villeneuve's Dune, which has gathered many stars, will appeal to the audience and will not put an end to the large-scale plans of Legendary.
