Willem Dafoe , deserved mainstream movie villain and favorite of Lars von Trier, joined the cast of the next film adaptation of Agatha Christie. This is the canon work of the detective queen Murder on the Orient Express .As reported by Variety , the actor got the role of an undercover private detective Gerhard Hardman . Previously, Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench, Michelle Pfeiffer and Josh Gad signed up for the film. The film will be directed by Kenneth Branagh, who will also play the role of the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot . The original source Christie was adapted for the big screen by the now highly sought after Michael Green. It was he who wrote the scripts for the films "Alien: Covenant" and "Blade Runner 2049".
