Kenneth Branagh investigates murder on the Orient Express
In June, we wrote that 20th Century Fox invited Kenneth Branagh (Hamlet, Cinderella) to lead the film adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel Murder on the Orient Express ". According to The Hollywood Reporter , the bosses of the film company have successfully completed negotiations with the five-time nominee for the " Oscar ". Fox Studio President Emma Watts hastened to announce that Brana will not only direct the film, but will also play the role of Hercule Poirot .The famous novel by the Queen of Detectives was published on January 1, 1934. Murders on the Orient Express takes place on a passenger train heading from Istanbul to Paris. When the corpse of the American tycoon Ratchett is found in one of the compartments, Poirot has to use his "little gray cells" to find out the identity of the killer.  The heroes of the novel Christie have visited large and small screens more than once. The role of Poirot in the 1974 film earned Albert Finney an Oscar nomination. In 2001, Alfred Molina played in the television movie of the CBS Hercule channel, and five years ago the creators presented their version of " Murders on the Orient Express " British TV series "Poirot" ( Agatha Christie's Poirot ). The image of the Belgian detective in the project of the ITV channel has been embodied by David Suchet for almost a quarter of a century.  The script for the new film adaptation was written by Michael Green, and the production functions will be taken by Ridley Scott, Simon Kinberg, Mark Gordon and Kenneth Branagh .
