The Wrap has learned that Kenneth Branagh's director is in talks with Fox to lead filming for “ Murders on the Orient Express", a new adaptation of the novel by the Queen of detectives Agatha Christie.The project is produced by Ridley Scott, Simon Kinberg and Mark Gordon. The plot of the book will be adapted by Michael Green (Heroes / Heroes ). The novel was published in 1934 and over time became one of the most popular works of Christie . In the story, the detective Hercule Poirot investigates the murder of an American tycoon on the Orient Express. The book was first brought to the big screen in 1974. The film, starring Albert Finney, won six Oscar nominations. Later, the work was filmed by the channel CBS , and Alfred Molina appeared in the image of the famous detective in the television film. Once again, the murder on the Orient Express was investigated by Poirot played by David Suchet in one of the episodes of the TV series "Agatha Christie's Poirot" ( Agatha Christie's Poirot ).  Kenneth Branagh began his career in Hollywood with screen adaptations of William Shakespeare's works - "Henry V", "Much Ado About Nothing", "Hamlet". After the director added the blockbuster Thor and the action movie Jack Ryan: Chaos Theory to his filmography, and Bran's latest work , Cinderella, managed to earn more than $ 530 million at the world box office .
